Mint Green has long been a favourite for the larger sized globes, a rich deep Mint has dominated the 80cm Galileo & 127 Churchill orders…. and now we have a special Mini Desk Globe version available with all of our bases.
First up… The Brass Albion. This solid brass base is hand cast using the lost wax method… it can be finished either nice & shiny or with more of a matte look to it.

The Albion London Plane… planted throughout the 18th and 19th century, the tree from which this lacewood comes, thrives in city conditions and is a symbol of London’s arboreal landscape. The tight pores and grain together with our ebony stain combine to create a truly refined finish.

The “Luminom”… hand cast in a Derbyshire Foundry, the luminom is then brush finished; fitted with roller bearings to enable fluid movement in any direction by hand > not pictured <

The Albion Zebrano.. Zebrano – the heart of this African hardwood features an unmistakeble grain – dark stripes offset against pale golds make this a piece of real distinction. > not pictured <

The Standard Mini Desk Globe. The Standard model base is made from hardwood Walnut, and fitted with roller bearings to enable fluid movement in any direction by hand. This was our first base design many a years ago and still a classic!

The Coppa – solid copper hand cast & hand finished to a shiny polish. This base is gorgeously heavy and will change colour with time – but can always be polished back as well.

Each globe is presented with its own bespoke flight case, each base is fitted with an inscribed copper plaque noting the edition number and style, and an additional certificate of ownership. Mini Desk Globes may be viewed and purchased at Harrods, and purchased online.
