Introducing the Brisbane.. a more contemporary wood base for our 80cm diameter Galileo. This globe is Walnut, also available in Oak and Mahogany in various stains.
The base as standard comes with a sold brass meridian which is hand engraved. Pictured is a Nickel plated (silver) meridian which is an additional cost. Included in the commission is a hand engraved message which can be up to 100 characters – a perfect place for a name, date or short quote.
Colour featured is Mint Green. Other colours suggested are Glacial Blue, Britannia Blue, Prussian Blue, and Ochre. Another option is our Cassini colouring in which every country is hand shaded in a differing colour and Gagarin which looks like Earth from space – both priced higher than the other colour suggestions.
Included in the commission are 20 cartography edits – text based edits like adding in special places to the map in a differing colour, adding a favourite quote or saying into an ocean or adding in places that might not otherwise be on the map.
For an additional cost we can add hand drawn and hand painted illustrations on land and sea.
